Bougainvillea Laneway Reconstruction

Allied Corporation was engaged by City of Prospect to undertake the laneway reconstruction of Bougainvillea Lane in Prospect. Collaboration with Council and the community was critical in managing the successful delivery of this project given the impacts to residential rear access via the laneway to properties along Rose Street and Myrtle Street. Community notifications were provided with dedicated temporary parking zones to ensure readily available access on the local roads within the Prospect Village Heart Precinct.

Works included a granular pavement reconstruction of the laneway and the construction of a centralised concrete spoon drain to manage stormwater run off and flows. Within a constrained environment construction activities and access was limited and required effective management and traffic control of fleet in and out of the site.

The delivery program was fast tracked to ensure the impact to residents was minimised to enable Council’s road reseal contractor to lay the asphalt wearing course following the completion of Allied Corporation’s scope of works.
